Pause in Action
Since Pause was first established in 2015, we have worked in partnership with local authorities and charities to develop and deliver services that improve the lives of vulnerable people. From our initial scoping exercises to our ongoing support and training for Practices, we work closely with our partners every step of the way.
Pause Practitioners come from a range of backgrounds, including frontline social work, drug and alcohol services, domestic violence support, and the criminal justice system. This breadth of knowledge and experience is vital to supporting Pause Participants. Find out what it’s like to be a Pause Practitioner.
Pause has a profound, positive impact. This impact is not just felt by the women who undertake the programme, but by those around them – partners, friends, families – and often by the children removed from their care, through improved contact.
