Pause Practice Opportunities

Are you an ambitious and creative person who is passionate about supporting women to bring about change in their lives, with direct experience of working with and affecting change in vulnerable individuals?

About Pause

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. It offers an intense programme of therapeutic, practical and behavioural support through a systemic integrated model, underpinned by evidence-based practice. Pause aims to break this destructive cycle that results in deep trauma for them and their children, whilst also reducing the huge financial costs associated with this issue.

Are you an ambitious, creative and influential leader who is passionate about supporting women to bring about change in their lives, with direct experience of working with and affecting change in vulnerable individuals?

If so…

We are looking for exceptional individuals to join Pause. You will need to be rooted in practice, with experience of working with vulnerable adults and children at both a frontline and local authority, or equivalent, at strategic level. You will bring strong practice management, operational, and persuasive skills, in order to recruit and motivate partners to support forward thinking and integrated service provision.

The successful postholder will be responsible for the delivery of a Pause Practice, including: management and supervision of the Pause practitioners; operational responsibility including partner/stakeholder management; reporting to and collaboration with National Pause; ensuring the integrity and fidelity of Pause and contributing to on-going learning and development.

Your in-depth skills, knowledge and senior experience will have been gained over years of working in environments that explore and challenge social exclusion, including social work, community development, clinical and therapeutic work, drug work and the criminal justice field. You will take a systemic and developmental approach to this work, and wherever you have come from, you will be comfortable working across all and more of these disciplines.
