Pause exhibition, Our Journey Continued, goes online
The first Pause exhibition, Our Journey Continued, will be going online for one month during November. The website www.ourjourneycontinued.org.uk is an opportunity to explore nine create pieces from women working with Pause from across the UK.
The exhibition showcases the creative work of women who have been part of Pause over the last two and a half years. The pieces you can see here are just a fraction of the creative activity that happens across the UK every day as women find ways to express their most difficult and painful thoughts and feelings through art, music and theatre.
Jules Hillier, Chief Executive of Pause, said:
“When women take the decision to join the Pause Programme, they commit to a challenging process that enables them to bring about positive change in their lives, but also to reflect and consider the experiences they have already lived. For many women, creative work like this provides a space for reflection and a platform to express their identity and experiences. Our Journey Continued is a testament to the power of these women’s experiences and the creativity across the Pause network.
Thank you to every woman who has created something for the exhibition and to every woman who has taken part in a creative activity. Thank you also to the National Lottery Community Fund and Comic Relief for supporting the creative evaluation work at Pause and amplifying women’s voices.”
The virtual exhibition, Our Journey Continued, will be live online at www.ourjourneycontinued.org.uk throughout November (closing on Monday 30 November).
