Pause hosted a half day conference chaired by David Norgrove to present details of the Pause approach; provide an opportunity to see Pause in action; and hear more about future plans.
The event was aimed at all those who have a professional interest in repeat removals – in policy and commissioning, service delivery, the judiciary, academia and the voluntary sector.
With key note addresses from Edward Timpson MP, Minister of State for Children and Families and Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division. Other speakers included: Nick Crichton CBE, founder of FDAC; Dr Gwen Adshead, Consultant Forensic Psychologist and Psychotherapist; Milorad Vasic, Director of Children and Family Services at Hull City Council; Sophie Humphreys Chief Executive at Pause and Georgina Perry, Director of Practice and Learning. There was also a reflective practice session with Professor Chris Evans and two Lead Practitioners from Hackney Pause.
