We are recruiting a Practice Lead to our new Pause Practice in Wakefield.
Are you an exceptional leader with excellent communication skills who wants to make a difference at a local level to the families in your community?
Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of experiencing – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care.
The Practice Lead will ensure effective delivery of the Pause programme – they will work alongside their team, bringing a wealth of direct practice experience of complex work to maximise the team’s potential.
As a Pause Practice Lead, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to Pause Wakefield, ensuring the delivery of a fully integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support for women engaged in the programme.
The role is central to maintaining a coordinated, trauma‑informed approach that enables women to make meaningful and sustained changes in their lives. Pause is designed specifically to address the complex and often interlinked needs of women who have experienced repeat removals of children into care, with the ultimate aim of reducing future removals by creating space for stability, recovery, and personal development.
Working closely with the Pause National Practice Lead, you will ensure fidelity to the national model, maintaining integrity in the delivery of key elements such as assertive outreach, bespoke trauma‑informed interventions.
