Our Pause Southwark Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Practitioner to join our dynamic team and help make a real difference.
Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of experiencing – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care.
Pause Southwark is part of a national network that supports women to break the cycle of trauma and repeated child removals. To succeed in this role, you will bring passion, resilience, and professional insight, alongside:
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. social work, mental health, education, criminal justice, youth work, or counselling).
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health challenges.
- Confidence in case management and advocating on behalf of vulnerable clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and inspire.
- An understanding of professional boundaries and a commitment to reflective practice.
You must also be willing to travel and attend national Pause learning events.
