Our Pause Southwark Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Practitioner to join our dynamic team and help make a real difference.
Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of experiencing – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care.
Pause Southwark is part of a national network that supports women to break the cycle of trauma and repeated child removals. Our team is committed, creative, and compassionate, offering high levels of peer support and shared learning. We foster a culture of reflection, collaboration, and professional development -where you’ll be supported to grow and make a meaningful impact.
To succeed in this role, you will bring passion, resilience, and professional insight, alongside:
- A relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. social work, mental health, education, criminal justice, youth work, or counselling).
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and trauma-informed practice.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health challenges.
- Confidence in case management and advocating on behalf of vulnerable clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and inspire.
- An understanding of professional boundaries and a commitment to reflective practice.
You must also be willing to travel and attend national Pause learning events.
