Pause is looking for new trustees to join its trustee board.
Pause works with women who have experienced, or are at risk of, repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care, supporting women and aiming to give them the opportunity to pause and build positive foundations in their lives. Its model offers a relationship-based, bespoke programme that addresses the underlying challenges that each woman faces, always treating them as individuals, not simply as a list of presenting issues.
With a focus on women, children, impact and evidence, Pause works with a range of partners across all sectors to find new ways to overcome the problems of the past, meet the challenges of the present and build a better future, delivering services through its network of practices and working to inform and influence policy.
Pause has a strong board, which holds the organisation true to its strategic aims. We are now looking for new members, bringing different experiences and perspectives to help Pause deliver against its ambitious programme for growth and stability. We are particularly interested to speak to people with experience of services for adults with complex and difficult lives, research and evaluation, and charity leadership and governance.
Pause is particularly keen to encourage applicants from as diverse a range of candidates as possible, to better reflect the range of women we work with.
