Around half of the children of the women Pause works with are in kinship care. When it works well, kinship care can be a positive arrangement, enabling children to be brought up in safe, loving homes within their family network. However, due to the complex nature of family relationships, unique challenges can arise. We are working to ensure a whole family approach to kinship care is taken, where all members of kinship families – including parents – receive the support they need to ensure children can thrive in safe, stable and loving homes.
