This film was co-created by women working with Pause North East Lincolnshire. It is about the language that others – including professionals – use to describe them and their lives. This language became the narrative that shaped the way they were viewed and understood.

Alongside this video, Pause has produced a booklet for professionals about the importance of language when working with women who’ve had children removed from their care and have been subject to domestic abuse.
